A post about protesting

Okay so,

Recently, I've made a lot of posts about protests and all of you should participate. While I prefer people going on strike, I still think that protests are important in their own way.

These posts have recieved an unfortunate amount of backlash, mostly in the form of people saying that this accomplishes nothing. I'm here to tell you that that is mostly wrong.

1) Is protesting going to change the mind of the republicans?

My answer is: that's not the goal here. We can't change their minds, but we can show people that there is an opposition against Elon and his allies, and in times like these, we need to stick together, and protesting helps. Even if we can't change things, we can work together to fight and becomes as much of a trouble as possible for them. Going on strike is a lot more impactful, so I think all of you should strongly consider doing that.

This isn't about changing minds, it's about sticking together and telling fascists to fuck off.

2) Is the media covering these protests?

Unfortunately, no. But that shows something: censorship happens to what the people in power consider harmful, and I think that this shows that the government is afraid of protests to some extent.

Spread the news yourself. Talk to people, make posts on places like Reddit or Bluesky, put posters everywhere showing protesta that have been happening and that the media isn't covering. If they are censoring something, that means they fear it.

3) What are YOU doing?

This a question from me to you. If you aren't going to protest, advertising protests, or go on strike then what are you doing to help?

Progress is really fucking slow, and telling people that their efforts are meaningless because Trump isn't trembling in fear after one protest, while also doing nothing to help yourself, doesn't fucking help.

I get that I'll probably get a lot of hate for this post, but I genuinely couldn't care less if I actively tried. I'm tired of redditors shouting 'nothing ever happens' because they don't realize how much time it takes to actually change things, so please, keep protesting, spread news about protests, go on strike (this is really important), and help people.

We need all the help we can get.
