Total Makeup Noob
Hello! I'm looking for some tips on what I should start with as far as make up is concerned, and I'm coming here instead of just mass-googling my questions because I'm hoping to get some more concise answers, I suppose? I've never been a makeup girlie at all but I'm about 28 weeks pregnant and trying to make myself feel a little better about my appearance.
I'm 28 years old, about as pale white as pale white gets, and I have fairly severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) that affects almost my entire chin strap, around my lips/mouth, and around my eyes. So I'd be needing suggestions as far as sensitive skin makeup and maybe what to avoid? I've always been sus about foundation because I feel like that would be potentially really drying, especially if it has an alcohol base or if it has scents in it. I'm aware that there's a skin-care routine that usually goes along with makeup routines but I'd be concerned that those products may also irritate my skin and I'd end up spending a ton of money on something I can't even use.
I'm not looking to achieve any high-glam looks or anything like that, I'm maybe looking for tips on products that might help even out my complexion a little, maybe hide the eczema patches a bit without irritating them if at all possible. I own some mascara already, but I'd also be interested in maybe some eye shadows/lip glosses/lipsticks?
Any tips or leads on what I could look into would be great! Unscented products would be especially helpful, but I imagine that'd be a difficult task considering the ingredients used in these products probably already have a scent without scent being added to them.
Thanks in advance!
