Are wireless mouses really worth it over wired mouses?

I recently got my first PC for gaming and got a budget mouse, keyboard and mouse pad. My mouse is wired and there are a few things about it that make me want to upgrade already, however the biggest question I have about them is:

Does wireless make that big of a difference? (Gaming wise)
