Load shifting: the ultimate question

As a happy Agile customer without batteries, solar or EV, we get our savings through load shifting our washing machine and dishwasher, cooking etc.

Often the big savings are to be had overnight, which leads to the ultimate Agile question (in our house):

How long is it reasonable to leave washed clothes in the machine for?

Often we schedule the machine to finish around 6am. After making a bleary-eyed cup of tea, we hang up the washing around 8am. We've got away with this delay having previously been instant-emptiers before Agile.

How far can we push it? Have we already crossed the line?

(Posting this mostly as a joke, but also... How far can we push the envelope in the name of tiny gains?)
