Call to prayer in Kamala?
I went to Thailand last year and loved it, but one of places we stayed in Krabi was within earshot of a Mosque that played a loud call to prayer every morning at 5am and woke us up.
We’re going back in November and one of the places we’re looking at is Kamala in Phuket. I’ve read that the area has a lot of Muslim residents and I was wondering if anyone who’s been could advise me if we’re likely to be woken up by the call to prayer again? The hotel we are looking at is the Princess Kamala Beachfront Hotel if it helps. It’s just back from the beach and looks to be on Na Hat Road.
The call during the day doesn’t bother us but neither of us are morning people (and I’m a light sleeper) so the 5am one is definitely something we’d like to avoid.
Edit: thank you for the replies. Earplugs won’t help in this situation, I had them last year but I’m very sensitive to sound and still woke up. I’m also not sure how far out from the hotel I would need to check on maps as I don’t know how far the sound travels.
