3 days of welding !

Is this normal for 2 days of welding and changing it on the 3rd day ? My boss thinks I'm going through them to fast even though my machine is telling me to change filters .. so just looking for a time frame for these and how often you guys are typically changing them ? I work 12 hr shirts welding consistently with no shop ventilation or fans .
