Is this valid..?

I'm in a discord server and they're saying I can't identify as gay because I'm omni and almondsexual. they said it's only a label used for people who are attracted to only men. I told them I use the label onnigay, and they gave me disgusted faces. am I in the wrong..? I feel more comfortable with the term gay than what they were saying, Achillean.

Update: I told them basically what all of y'all said to try to inform them, and one of them said specifically this: "\ first off (disgust emoji) second as an ACTUAL gay man you cannot be attracted to women and be gay AT ALL. PERIOD. third, you are hurting people, you are STEALING a label that was fought for for years and claiming it as your own while it is NOT yours."

Update again: They were telling me to leave. Someone who noticed what was happening (someone who uses contradictory labels like me) told me I'm completely valid and I don't deserve what they were saying to me. They (the people in the server) insulted me a few times (in very stupid and immature ways). I later decided to act like I'm on their side and say I'm sorry.
