can i take plan b while on birth control?

hi all, so yesterday me and my bf had multiple instances of protected sex and even one instance of unprotected for just like a minute or so, and he never came inside me unprotected. we have never done that before and i’m super nervous and need some advice! i’m on the birth control pill and i take it every day, though some times a few hours late. should i take plan b just in case or would it do more harm than good?
