What GPU to buy for 7800X3D?

I’ve recently started a new build. I got a couple of parts for Christmas (7800x3D, B650-A motherboard, Case, Etc.) and have been looking for a solid GPU to match the 7800x3D’s power.

I have a budget of about 1500$ to spend on a GPU. But my main problem is I have no idea what to buy as the ones I was eyeing have sold out completely. Would it be worth it to wait on a restock? Should I snap on a 40 series or even a 3090 on ebay/some other resale site? Just need help on deciding and maybe some guidance on what would be good
