Dark Souls 2 is INSANELY bad.

I have to say that I started with souls games playing Elden Ring in which I have 600h of. After which I played DS3 and then wanted to play DS2 which I quit after around 40h because it was SO frustrating and just not fun to play at all. Now I've recently played DS1R for the first time and ended up 100%ing the game within 60-70h playtime too because I liked it a lot.

Now I came back to DS2 again and started a new run because it was the only one of the souls games I haven't finished (will continue Sekiro too eventually) but its still just so damn bad to play. I hate the areas, Many bosses are stupid asf, for example the most recent boss I beat, the Skeleton Lords took me like 20 seconds to kill the 3 main guys and then ended up getting chased around by the tons of small skeletons cunts trying to kill them meanwhile losing basically all my healing stones I had left.

I really wanted to like this game this time around but it does not happen. It's probably even worse now that I've played more of the other Dark Souls games because I notice how bad DS2 is in comparison to the other games more and more (and not just the newer games either).

I still will try to finish it for the sake of finishing it only because I want to have finished all the Dark Souls titles but I definitely wont be having a lot of fun. There are many DS2 fanboys especially in the subreddit of the game which will defend the game at any cost saying its the best DS game which I just dont agree with and wont ever understand. Its 100% the worst of the Souls games in my opinion and I'd go as far as saying its just plain bad. The only thing it has going for me is that its a Dark Souls game but thats about it. I couldnt care less for more build variety than the other games or whatever other positive aspects people might mention talking about DS2.
