To piggy back on this post is it better to run through TVHM first and then turn on mayhem ?.

So I’ve been playing with just tvhm on my second play thru and it’s honestly really fun, kinda challenging, I wanna wait till I’m max level for mayhem but I’ve also been told you can turn mayhem on, just make sure to put it to your level. Hope this helps, have fun!

44 mag is definitively superior for hunting. I think 357 is slightly superior as a defensive round out of a lever rifle. More capacity and less chance of over penetration, possibly slightly faster follow up shots. The only big edge for 357 is ammo cost. You can practice and plink with low cost 38 special, no such thing as low cost 44 mag or 44 special without loading your own.
